| MUG1

Predicted to enable endopeptidase inhibitor activity and protease binding activity. Acts upstream of or within embryo implantation. Predicted to be located in extracellular space. Is expressed in liver. Orthologous to human PZP (PZP alpha-2-macroglobulin like).Mug1 is a glycoprotein containing approximately 7.6% carbohydrates and is composed of a single polypeptide chain (with a molecular weight of about 180 kDa). It captures or covalently binds proteases through conformational changes and exerts inhibitory effects.
